Market garden planning with Qrop/Brinjel

Brinjel, market garden planning software

Free planning for market gardening

You can now plan your season and monitor your crops with ease thanks to Brinjel, an open-source software package designed specifically for market gardeners.

Brinjel is the successor to Qrop and will be available from December 2023! Take advantage of this opportunity to optimize your farming activities and improve your productivity. Don't miss this new and improved version, developed in collaboration with market gardeners themselves.

Brinjel features

  • Plan your season. Design your growing plan: families, species, varieties, series, bed lengths, spacing, densities, expected yields... Automatically generate sowing and planting tasks with the quantities of seed required and the number of boxes to be sown in the nursery. Visualize each season of your growing plan. Create, duplicate, delete, batch-modify, sort and filter your series.

  • Keep track of your daily tasks. Manage your tasks week by week: sowing, planting, weeding, pruning, irrigation. Quickly filter out overdue, to-do and completed tasks. Track labor costs by task.

  • Manage your plot, crop rotation and rotations. Create your crop rotation by simply placing your series on the plot. Use the crop history on each plot to respect your crop rotation.

  • Track your harvests and yields. Note the quantities harvested per series. Brinjel will calculate yields by series and by crop.

  • Buy your seeds and plants. Automatic generation of seed and seedling order lists from the crop plan.

  • Use graphs and statistics. Analyze your results (yields, working hours, variance between forecast and actual) to fine-tune your planning for the following year.

  • Take notes and photos. Take notes and photos, and link them to series, tasks or locations.

  • Collaborate. Invite others to your farm space. Manage the rights of each person (guest, farm manager, team member, seasonal worker). Assign tasks to certain people.
