  • This training program has been developed for both new and existing growers. Progressively designed, the program covers all aspects of small-scale intensive organic market gardening.

    • The training will take place remotely, in asynchronous mode.

    • The course is 42 hours long and is to be completed over a three-week period. Participants can take the course at their own pace.

    • Our training includes lessons based on fact sheets and videos, as well as supporting documents. It is punctuated by exercises to encourage comprehension and assimilation of information, and ends with an assessment (10-question quiz) to measure the participant's learning.

    • Access to the content takes place on the first day of the session (chosen in the registration form) at 9am on the "www.lecercle.lesjardinsdelavalette.com" platform.

    • Prerequisites: Internet access and a computer.

    I originally signed up for this course, but had the opportunity to take JMF's course just before, thanks to a last-minute session. I was afraid that they would overlap, but I was very far from the truth.

    It's THE course that's been missing!

    What's more, the fact that I can take it online is really extraordinary - I could never have afforded to do it in person. The content is succinct but clear, and seems to me to be exhaustive.

    The fact that it's offered by a market gardener with so much experience makes it all the more valuable (it's very important to remember that this is a business first and foremost, and that it must therefore be viable!)   • This training program is designed for vegetable growers and project leaders. The technical guidelines developed over the past 10 years are specifically tailored to small-scale vegetable farming.

  • You have three weeks to complete the 42-hour training course, after which you will continue to have access to the content. This training is designed to be a resource you can refer to before and during the season, year after year.

  • Training sessions are an obligation for VIVEA. You register for a fixed period and your participation is verifiable by your answers to exercises and quizzes. After 21 days, the training will be available on an unlimited basis.

  • It's perfectly possible to take the course while working, since you can access it for as many hours as you like and complete it at your own pace within the 3-week timeframe.

  • No, the training is asynchronous. You have access to the content from 9 a.m. on the Monday the session starts, and you organize yourself as you want and can to follow it.

  • By starting this course, you agree to complete it in its entirety, i.e. to complete all the quizzes and exercises within the 3-week timeframe.

  • Either privately financed, or through the VIVEA training insurance fund for non-salaried agricultural workers. To qualify, you must be on a PPP course or be a farmer. OPCO or France Travail funding is available under certain conditions.

  • You are entitled to 2,000 euros per year. You can check your available credit balance in your Vivea account. If you don’t have enough credit to cover the full cost of the training, you can still use the remaining amount and cover the difference yourself.
