A market-gardening micro-farm
Les Jardins de la Valette
An intensive organic micro-farm
At "Les Jardins de la Valette", we devote ourselves to intensive organic market gardening based on agroecology and organic farming principles, all on a small plot of land.
On an area of less than 5000m2, we grow around fifty vegetables using methods such as crop rotation, permanent bed cultivation and diversification. These approaches help preserve the vitality of the soil and maintain an ecological balance within our micro-farm.

Small-scale market gardening
Sylvain Couderc
After studying electrical engineering, I felt the need to return to something more concrete, more down-to-earth. So I turned to agriculture, and created "Les Jardins de la Valette" in 2012.
While traveling and working on many farms in Australia and New Zealand, I discovered Eliot Coleman, a pioneer of the bio-intensive method and a great popularizer.
However, it was my meeting in 2010 with JM Fortier and MH Desroches from Jardins de la Grelinette, during my internship on their farm, that really marked a turning point in my installation.
Since then, I've been practicing the bio-intensive method on my farm and passing it on through various training courses throughout the year.
I firmly believe that bio-intensive market gardening is a viable and accessible alternative, offering many opportunities in the field of agriculture.
Our 100% online training course in organic intensive market gardening
Sylvain Couderc, a pioneer of the bio-intensive method in France, offers a comprehensive training course on the key points of this system. It includes strategic planning, efficient management of space and crops, and the cultivation techniques needed to achieve high yields on a limited surface area. With this training, you'll develop the skills you need to maximize your productivity while respecting the principles of organic farming.
